I estimate the drive wheels were 5 feet in diameter


A bar I passed and had to stop and check it out. The brands on the paneling are authentic. The current owners inherited the name from the original owner and they liked it so they kept it.

Tonight I am in Winnemucca, NV It is a no tell motel complete with a hooker at the front door. From her looks, she might swing either way. Get me out of here!!!!


Tomorrow I will head on west. I want to visit Lake Tahoe, Virginia City and Carson City. Carson City was home to a US Mint with CC as the mint mark. Coins with that mark are quite valuable. If it is open, I will take the tour.

    As a kid going through that area looking for cattle to buy, Winnemucca was always on the route and we stayed there often. Yes it does have, or at least HAD, a reputation!!! Sorry you're having so much trouble with the pictures!!

Carol's Dragon Fly Ranch home of Carol's Pond March 7, 2021 Hopefully hibernation season is over. It appears that spring has sprung. There were a lot of daffodils blooming in the side ditch but a hard rain beat about all of the blooms off the stems. But more popped up, including the ones in Carol's yard. Also there are tiny white flowers and some blue and purple ones as well and of course my favorite, dandelions. During that cold snap, Carol's Pond froze over and that is not acceptable at all. Mother Nature are you listening? There were several ducks that stuck around most of the winter, but I have not seen them today. They were very fast swimmers, fast enough to create a good wake behind them. I dubbed them the Shore Patrol. Those of you that were in the military know what the shore patrol is. June 20, 2023 Carol's Dragonfly Ranch Home of Carol's Pond The last few days have been a pain in my acetabulum. Last Wednesday night, just past midnight, the power went out. No big deal. It happens way too frequently here. So I went to bed. The next morning I still did not have power. I looked out in the back yard and 2 of my neighbors oak trees are now in my backyard. My neighbor to the east of me, lost 6 trees. The guy 2 doors west decided to loan Debbie an oak tree since 2 of hers were AWOL. Today, June 20 th , the power came back on around 1300 hours or 1:00 p.m. So in all it was out 5 and a half days. What a PITA (pain in the ass). I finally broke down and went to a motel. I can handle the heat at night and sleep fairly well. But after 4 days, I needed a shower desperately. I smelled worse than a hog pen. This was a major storm that did a lot of damage across a very large area. Since I do not have a TV I get my news off the internet. Shrevep
