Carol's Dragon Fly Ranch

Home of Carol's Pond

I want to start by wishing Carol a very Happy Birthday. Her birthday was yesterday the 11th. I will not divulge her age, but to me she is still a sweet young thing.

I am mad at by neighbors and Sam and Samantha Jane and her daughter. I talk nice to them and try not to scare them and what do they do? They move next door to Debbie's house and she doesn't even know their names. That just isn't right.

Whitey is trying to get fat. He was here for all 3 meals one day this week and usually 2 meals on the other days. He may get too fat to fly.

On the 4th I had an MRI of my brain. I do not have the results yet. I have called twice but they have not called back. The VA sent me to a Movement Specialist on October 31st and he ordered the MRI. He says that I do not have Parkinson's Disease which is wonderful, kind of. He says all of my symptoms may mimic Parkinson's but the cause of them is the result of a traumatic brain injury. The MRI will hopefully provide him with information on how to treat me. The brain injury was May 16, 1964. An old lady made an illegal left turn, and hit me broadside on my bicycle. This was about 11 a.m. Saturday morning and it was Wednesday before I knew who I was and where I was. And since then I have had 2 other concussions that I am sure of. While no one wants Parkinson's, with it, I knew what to expect in the future. But with a brain injury I do not and that makes me a little nervous.

Butch Minnick sent me pictures of ugly white stuff on the ground in Lebanon this morning. Here it is just cold and sunny, 35 this morning and that is way too cold. Currently it is 42 and there were 3 turtles on the log a few minutes ago. The log is in bright sunshine. But I think the turtles have slipped mentally. They should be in hibernation with it this cold.

  2. Wow ... I'm shocked! I hope that doctor is correct and it's treatable. Wouldn't that just be amazing?? Do turtles hibernate? I thought they just stay in the water out of sight because it was warmer than outside. Sam and family are just unappreciative!!!
